I am David Meulenbeld (1991), a Dutch freelance photographer living in Amsterdam. My focus is on telling visual stories. I love to capture images that involve real and interesting people. Whether that’s a series of documentary photography about fanatic football supporters on tractors, or wrestlers with cauliflower ears, or for editorial or commercial portraits for brands and campaigns.
My background? A bachelor degree in American Studies, and a Masters in Journalism. My experience as a journalist/writer and copy editor, at VICE and VPRO, helps me to tell my stories with photography. I have worked for and continue to work with lots of commercial and editorial media outlets on a wide range of different projects, from sports(culture) to fashion:
